Coventry (H) Match Preview

The Easter weekend concludes with the Royals welcoming Coventry to the Madejski Stadium, looking to do the double over the Sky Blues. A full match preview is here...

Vital Quotes:

Royals boss Brian McDermott -

'I'm looking forward to Monday, when we get a defeat its good to have another game straight away. I might freshen things up a bit because the players out there on Saturday gave everything. We'll have a look at that.'

Reading Team News:

Matt Mills is ok to play after an appeal over his red card on Saturday was recieved in time. He will partner Zurab Kizhanishvili at the back with Ryan Bertrand and Andy Griffin in an unchanged defence.

The changes are likely to come in midfield where Brian Howard or Brynjar Gunnarsson could give way to fit again Jay Tabb. Jimmy Kebe or Jobi McAnuff could also be rested, with Hal Robson Kanu desperate to start and Shane Long may make way for Simon Church.

Player to watch: Gylfi Sigurdsson

Scored his 16th goal of the season against Ipswich on Saturday and will be desperate to get the Royals back to winning ways.

Coventry Team News:

Freddy Eastwood is again set to be missing for Coventry with a back problem, that also forced him to miss the Derby game on Saturday.

Defender James McPake will come back into contention though.

Player to watch: Jon Stead

The striker has turned into a journeyman but whatever club he is at, he always seems to do well against us. Remember the stunning goals for Ipswich against us last season!?

Last Meeting

Saturday 31st October 2009, Coventry 1-3 Reading.

Ref Watch:

Whoever it is, at least it won't be Keith Stroud!!

Match Prediction:

Despite the defeat to Ipswich at the weekend, we are very much one of the form teams in the division. The same cannot be said of Coventry who haven't won it six games, and that will be seven after this game. A comfortable home win, Royals 3-0 Coventry.

Next Fixture:

Saturday 10th April, Cardiff (A)
