Middlesbrough (H) Match Preview

Reading return home to the Madejski Stadium on the back of a great comeback at Bristol on Tuesday night, to face a Middlesbrough side who sit in second and haven't conceded in the League since the end of August

Vital Quotes:

Reading boss Brian McDermott - 'We weren't saying we were the worst team in the world when we lost four on the spin and we're not saying we're the best now that we've won a couple of games - we're just an honest bunch trying our best every day.'

Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray - 'Reading isn't an easy place to get to but the pleasing thing is we've given the people who do follow the team something to shout about this year. Hopefully they'll get another positive performance and a victory on Saturday.'

Reading Team News:

Reading are still going to be without Jimmy Kebe who is still carrying a knee problem. This could mean a start for Hal Robson-Kanu. Jordan Obita has to withdraw from the England U19s with an injury so he also will not feature.

Player to watch: Adam Federici

The Australian International has been on fine form in recent games, especially on Tuesday night against Bristol where he kept the score a respectable level to allow a Royals comeback.

Middlesbrough Team News:

Middlesbrough will be checking on the fitness of Rhys Williams, who has had an illness this week. Defender Seb Hines has only come back into training so will not feature.

Player to watch: Marvin Emnes

The Dutch winger has been on fine form this season, scoring 8 goals already and will be a real handful for the Reading full backs.
