Reading return home on the back of their first loss in nine games while Birmingham visit the Madejski Stadium after a credible 2-2 draw against Club Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday.
Reading manager Brian McDermott - 'We've discussed it as a group, we need to turn the draws into wins. In nine games we've lost one but we have drawn too many. It's a similar scenario to last season, and we need to turn the draws into victories.'
Birmingham boss Chris Hughton - 'I saw Reading play in midweek against Forest and I certainly think they deserved to get something out of the game. They are well-drilled with a great work ethic and a good manager and if I look at their league position they've probably suffered from the amount of draws that they've had.'
Brian McDermott has a full squad to choose from after no new injury worries ahead of this game. Jimmy Kebe could start his first game in a month for the Royals.
The captain has enjoyed a decent spell of form of late, putting in some performances on the non-preferred right side.
Birmingham winger Jean Beausejour will be suspended for the Blues ahead of this game. Jordan Mutch and Morgaro Gomis are both still out as Chris Hughton is expected to make changes to the team that played Brugge, with Marlon King among other names expected to return to the starting XI.
The New Zealand international has been in great form this season for the Blues, scoring 8 league goals already.
Although Birmingham have had three days rest, I feel the may have a little too much for us where we lack, scoring goals. 1-0 loss.
