Cardiff (H) Match Preview

With the international break ending, Cardiff who are on a good run of form travel down to the Madejski Stadium to face a Reading team that went into the break with a fantastic 1-0 win against Birmingham.

Vital Quotes:

Reading manager Brian McDermott - 'The international break was good for us, the good result against Birmingham made a difference and now this is another game for us to look forward to.'

Cardiff boss Malky Mackay - 'At the moment we're looking quite good; everyone who has been on international duty has come back in good health and the ones that had scrapes have all come through ok.'

Reading Team News:

Reading striker Simon Church has a knock which kept him out of Wales' win over Norway, similarly to Jem Karacan representing the Turkish U23s but both will be available for selection.

Player to watch: Noel Hunt

The Irish striker has a point to prove after his winner and against Birmingham and is likely to start alongside Le Fondre for McDermott

Cardiff Team News:

Scottish international David Marshall and defender Stephen McPhail have both been given the OK to play after recent injuries. However, French striker and former Royals target Rudy Gestade will be out for another month.

Player to watch: Peter Whittingham

The gifted midfielder has been a consistent performer for the Bluebirds over the years and has started this season in the same vein.

Match Prediction:

Will be a tight game between two decent teams. 2-2 draw.
