Blackpool return back to the seaside on the back of a 2-0 loss to Leicester City as they face Brian McDermott and his Reading side, who are a decent run, winning three of their last four games.
Blackpool defender Ian Evatt -
I think we were a little bit off the pace against Leicester. We created a few good opportunities but our final ball wasn't what it usually is. It's unfortunate that we seem to be picking up a few injuries as well.'
Reading boss Brian McDermott - 'That was one of the things we talked about and you can see the way they still play football. Ian [Holloway] has talked himself about how he changed his philosophy, travelled around and looked at a lot of different managers and coaches in Europe so we know the way we play. They play really good football; it's never an easy to going there.'
Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey was recalled by Liverpool so he will not be available to Ian Holloway. Blackpool also have defence worries as Alex Baptiste has a hamstring problem, while Craig Cathcart has a thigh worry. Chris Basham and Ian Evatt could also be unavailable.
The little maestro causes a handful for any defence with his clever play and anticipation. Has a point to prove to his manager.
Reading will definitely be without captain Jobi McAnuff who picked up his fifth booking of the season against Peterborough. Left back Joseph Mills should be fit but McDermott could stick with Ian Harte irrespective of his fitness. Noel Hunt, Jem Karacan and Mikele Leigertwood have knocks but should recover in time.
Likely Reading XI: Federici, Cummings, Pearce, Gorkss, Harte, Kebe, Leigertwood, Karacan, Robson-Kanu, Hunt, Le Fondre
The Welsh international scored a wonderul goal against Peterborough on Tuesday night and is expected to replace Jobi McAnuff in the team. Will also have a point to prove to his manager.
Blackpool have a good attack but their defence could be hindered by injuries slightly, so I will go for us to sneak a 2-1 win.
