Signed from Lens, where he failed to make a single appearance for the top flight French club. He had spent time onloan at second division clubs Chareauroux and US Bologne, where he was when we signed him, making a total 30 appearances scoring 7 goals.

Failed to establish himself in the side as the Royals were relegated from the Premiership but made 43 appearances the following year as we failed to gain promotion at the first time of asking.

Flourished under the stewardship of Brian McDermott and after a fantastic season he took 2nd place in the clubs player of the year award.

He continued in this vain during the 2010/11 season in which he scored 9 goals including a fanastic solo effort against Middlsbrough.
