Midfielder was signed from Sheffield Utd in August 2009 by then manager Brendan Rodgers but, as so many, flourished under the stewardsip of Brian McDermott. Was a regular in the centre of midfield and came up with 3 goals as well in his debut season for the Royals, most notable the late equaliser at West Brom in the FA Cup that set us on our way to a quarter final.

Previously played for Swindon, Barnsley and Sheffield United where he built his reputation as a fine midfielder ball player.
