The Harrow-born defender spent the whole of his career with Championship side Watford before completing his £2.3 million move to Berkshire in July. He made 216 appearances for the Hornets, scoring four goals during his seven-year tenure.
Mariappa mainly operates as a central defender, but is more than capable of playing right back. The 25-year old was subject of interest from Norwich and Newcastle last campaign, but turned them both down in favour of staying with Watford.
