Season Preview - Brighton have spent the majority of the past few seasons in League One following their relegation from the Championship in 2005.

Manager Gus Poyet was appointed Seagulls manager in November 2009 but despite a slow start, they soon found their feet and got promoted as Champions in the 2010/11 season.

Poyet encourages a very good brand of football and has made a very shrewd signing in Craig Mackail Smith. However, since losing Elliot Bennett to Norwich, they may lack some creativity this season to get them goals.
