The Championship 2011/12 - Reading
Club - Reading

Founded - 1871

Nickname - The Royals

Ground - Madejski Stadium (Capacity: 24,161)

Manager - Brian McDermott

Last Season Finish - 5th - Championship

Season Preview - The Royals have spent the majority of the last 10 years in the Championship following their promotion to Division One in 2002, finishing 4th the following season but being eventually beaten by Wolves in the semi's of the play-offs.

Steve Coppell then took over and finished just outside the play-off places in his first season. However, the Royals got promotion in 2006, winning the Championship with a record breaking 106 points.

Their first season in the Premier League was a successful one, finishing 8th, just missing out on Europe. However, the following season we were eventually relegated on the final day of the season.

Despite only missing out last year, I still feel we have a chance of making the play-offs. We may have sold Long and Mills but still have some class players in Federici, Kebe and Karacan and if we replace our out-goings well, we could fight for that play-off place.

My Prediction - 7th
