'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Opposition View - Chelsea

With great thanks to our friends over at Vital Chelsea, we ask a few questions about their squad and tonight's game. We quiz them about their expectations for the season, the permanent appoint of Roberto Di Matteo and their key players.

------------------------------------------------------------------

1) What are your expectations for the season?

Following the dramatic ending to last season whereby we took back to Stamford Bridge the FA Cup and the Champions League, I think most of us are still on cloud nine. Our expectation levels remain high though, we`d like to become the first side to retain the Champions League but our main priority has to be an improvement in the Premier League. Sixth place, some 25 points behind the winners, wasn`t acceptable, so I`d go for a better performance in the Premier League and a cup!

2) Who are the player/s to look out for?

Eden Hazard - The young Belgian showed in his 64 minutes at the DW Stadium that he is class. If you give him time on the ball and time to run at you, you`ll be in trouble. And off course, there`s always Mr Reliable - Frank Lampard!

3) Are you happy with the permanent appointment of Roberto Di Matteo?

Most definitely! Could we really not give the job on a permanent basis to the person who led us to unprecedented glory? That night in Munich (19th May 2012) cemented Roberto`s place in our history books and he has the full backing of everyone at Stamford Bridge, all that remains is to see whether he can continue his remarkable success story.

4) If you could sign one more player this transfer window, who would it be and why?

Just one? I`d go for a striker. We`re looking a little short up front with only Fernando Torres and Daniel Srurridge. That Cavani chap from Naples would be my choice!

5) If you could offload any player from your team, who would it be and why?

Florent Malouda - His time is up and he seems to have los this way since our historic double winning season under Carlo Ancelotti.

6) Expected line up for the game?

I reckon we`ll turn out as follows:-

Cech, Ivanovic, Terry, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Lampard, Hazard, Oscar, Ramires, Torres

7) What's your prediction for the game?

Chelsea to win, 3-0!
