'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Gunners tracking Royals ace

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Reading defender Sean Morrison, according to the Daily Star..

The 21-year old has come into the recent side in recent weeks and has firmly established himself as the clubs best defender, with some defensive displays. The towering defender also scored his first Premier League goal for McDermott's outfit in their 3-2 loss to Wigan last week.

Morrison joined from rivals Swindon Town back in January 2011 for a fee around 350k, but failed to make a first team appearance for nearly two years at the Berkshire club. He spent time on loan at Huddersfield last season and helped the Terriers to promotion to the Championship.

If these rumours are true, I'm not particularly surprised. Sean has been a revelation since coming into the side and has really grasped it with both hands. He has superb ariel ability and looks as if he can chip in with a few goals too. The partnership with Mariappa looked quite solid against Villa the other night too.
