Reading declare interest in Aussie wonderkid
Reading are tracking and have confirmed their interest in Australian wonderkid Tom Rogic, according to TheWorldGame.com.

The 20-year old attacking playmaker is attracting interest after some notable performances for Australian A-League side Central Coast Mariners. Reading have tried to sign the youngster previously, who has been capped at international level for Australia, as Director of Football Nicky Hammond has publicly declared interest in Rogic.

Hammond reportedly said: "We`ll talk to the Mariners and take it from there. We`ve been monitoring Tom closely for the past year or so and were really disappointed when we couldn`t sign him because of those work permit issues. He`s been doing really well and is a smashing lad. I have no doubt he has the potential to play in the Premier League.'

'Our opinion of him has only got higher as we have watched him continue to excel. I can`t say whether something will happen in January but it`s not impossible. That said, he is under contract with another club, who we have great respect for and we will just have to wait and see whether anything comes of it."

Not sure if this one would be for the short-term, but certainly the long-term if his potential is to be fulfilled. It's also unsure whether these Hammond quotes are authentic, as it doesn't state where or who he made these comments to.
