Reading chasing Man United striker?

Reading have been linked with an audacious bid to sign Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck on loan, according to The Sun.

The 22-year old has struggled to earn a regular starting place in the United team this term, given the superb form of Robin Van Persie and Javier Hernandez. It is expected that other clubs will join the race for the England international, who has only appeared 15 times this season.

I think we are living in dreamland here, as I would have thought that there would be clubs much higher up in the league that would request his services if available. If it is true we have made a bid, I applaud our optimism, as these are the sorts of players we should be aiming for!
