Reading chasing Brum defender?

Reading are considering a bid for Birmingham defender Curtis Davies, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Championship outfit are currently in an awkward financial situation and could be wiling to let their prized defender go for around about £1.5 million. It has been reported that Davies in on £27,000-a-week at the Blues, meaning they want to get him off the wage bill.

Davies was linked during the summer too, but I can't see it happening unless there is a problem with the Sunzu deal. The former Villa defender would be a great acquisition for us, especially considering his Premier League experience and impressive goal ratio for Birmingham.
