Reading bid for Championship starlet

Reading have made a bid for Blackpool hotshot Thomas Ince, according to Sky Sports.

The 20-year old has been subject of many rumours in the January transfer window, with Liverpool reportedly keen on resigning their academy product. Director of Football Nicky Hammond was seen at Molinuex for Blackpool's encounter with Wolves, where the winger scored an impressive brace, one of which was a superb 25-yarder.

The fee mentioned is in the region of £7 million to £8 million, with the Championship outfit likely to accept the offer if the reported price is correct. Ince, an England under 21 international, has scored an impressive 21 times in 60 appearances for the Tangerines.

clearly toy are bigger and better than Blackpool, but as you are still far from certain to stay in the Prem, I am guessing he would prefer to play a waiting game until the summer.

if his deal comes to nothing. David Bentley would be a very decent shout should you go after him. He hasnt played well for Spurs, but so much of that was due to injury and a fall out with redknapp. He probably isnt ideally an out and out winger anymore, but has great supply and is also possibly a very decent option to play centrally, either off a striker or deeper

Yeah, looks as if the move is a no go anyway. David Bentley would be an interesting, he showed so may glimpses of promise throughout this career. I wouldn't say no to him.

though his wages are high at the moment, I am guessing that Spurs would certainly look to loan him or perhaps offer him on a free to get him off the wage bill. he is a definite bargain in the making for someone and he offers experience that someone like Ince wont at a time when that may be vital for you
