The Championship 2014/15 - Brentford

The Championship 2014/15 - Brentford
Club: Brentford

Founded: 1889

Nickname: The Bee's

Ground: Griffin Park (Capacity: 12,300)

When we face off: Sat 4th October (A), Sat 25th April (H)

Last season finish: 2nd - League One (Promoted)

Manager: Mark Warburton - The Brentford boss certainly had to work to get where he is now, having only made 28 appearances in the lower leagues. He began his coaching career at Watford, before moving onto Brentford, where he worked his way up the youth system to first team manager. Warburton took the reigns from Uwe Rosler and worked on, and some may say even bettered, the work that the German did at Griffin Park to get them into the Championship. His record of 17 wins in 27 games in charge speaks for itself.

Key player: Adam Forshaw - The central midfielder was released from Everton back in 2011, but has certainly bounced back from that blow, becoming a very key player for Brentford. Forshaw is an attacking-minded midfielder, capable of unlocking a defence and getting amongst the goals himself, getting eight last campaign.

Season Preview: The step up to the Championship from League One can be a big jump for some teams, but Brentford are going the right way about adapting, bringing in the goalscoring exploits of Andre Grey and getting Alan Judge on a permanent deal. Except O'Connor and Craig, the Bee's could do with some more experienced defenders at this level. Despite this, I think Brentford should cope just fine in the Championship.
