Player Ratings - Fulham (H)

Player Ratings - Fulham (H)
After a third win on the bounce, Vital Reading looked at the players' individual performances from the 3-0 victory over Fulham on Saturday.

Adam Federici - 7 - Feders only had one save to make the whole game on his 200th start, which was a crucial one too at 1-0. Distribution was also good.

Chris Gunter - 7 - Considering Fulham had a very narrow system, he was hardly troubled in the match. It did allow him to venture forward though, especially in the second half, to good effect as well.

Alex Pearce - 7 - Hardly gave McCormack a sniff and made countless interceptions throughout. He looked very comfortable on the ball at the back, as it seems Hector is bringing the best out in him.

Michael Hector - 7 - Same as Pearcey really, very comfortable, as he looks to be getting better game by game. It looks like a partnership that has real potential to flourish.

Jordan Obita - 8 - A great game from the young left-back, who was pretty much playing as a left-winger throughout. Two good assists for Murray and was the spearhead of most of our attacks.

Hope Akpan - 7 - Very easily his best game this season. He started really well, looking confident with his passing and using his stature well when doing his defensive duties. He was guilty on occasion of getting caught too far up the pitch and leaving space in behind for a Fulham break, but is only a minor point.

Oliver Norwood - 8 - Man of the Match - Very classy debut from the central midfielder, whose range and accuracy of passing was there for everyone to see - I can only remember a handful of passes that were misplaced. The prospect of him and Guthrie in the same midfield is an exciting one.

Jamie Mackie - 7 - His work rate is absolutely top notch and will earn him many admirers. He saw a fair amount of the ball in the first half and got the better of his full-back on occasion. A fairly quiet second half from him, but he looks a solid buy from Adkins.

Simon Cox - 8 - Best game from him so far, as his link up play with Murray was very good. Great energy and movement, playing alongside Murray in a 4-4-2, or dropping deep to receive it as a number ten. Him and Norwood linked up well too.

Jake Taylor - 6 - Good showing from the young Welshman, but still looks out of place on the left wing. He seemed to drift central when Obita had the ball wide, meaning there was no real overlapping between them. Unlucky not to score with a great strike.

Glenn Murray - 8 - The two goals summed up perfectly what we are going to get from the on-loan Palace man. He used his physical presence very well, bullying the defenders and took both goals very well. It may be early days, but could this be a season-defining signing?

The big Russian Pavel Pogrebnyak returned, but looked a little off touch with a few loose passes - unlucky not to score though. Good cameo appearance from Nick Blackman who took his goal very well, while Ryan Edwards injected some good energy into the midfield, as he always does.
