Players Ratings - Nottingham Forest (H)

Players Ratings - Nottingham Forest (H)
We take a look at the players' performances from the win over Forest on Saturday, including another top performance from Ali.

Ali Al-Habsi - 8 - Another superb performance between the sticks from our number one. Made two tremendous saves at the end of the first half and also did well with punching a number of corners away when under pressure.

Chris Gunter - 8 - Man of the match - Maybe harsh on Ali to give MotM to Gunts, but his goal rounded up what was a solid all-round performance. The Welsh international looked livelier going forward than normal and earned that with his goal.

Liam Moore - 7 - The former Leicester man is continuing to live up to expectations with another solid outing. Didn't let the physicality of Vellios faze him and was in cruise control most of the game.

Paul McShane - 6 - Good to see the skipper back, as his partnership with Moore continues to grow. He had a few shaky moments in the first half, but held firm when Forest came onto us in the second half.

Tyler Blackett - 7 - Probably his best game in a Reading shirt so far. It was an assured performance and wasn't afraid to venture forward when the opportunity arose.

Joey Van der Berg - 5 - From the start, Joey didn't seem himself. His touch and passing was well off and after his scuffle with Lansbury, his head was gone. Right call from Stam to take him off.

Danny Williams - 6 - Typical Williams performance with lots of energy and drive. The game did pass him by at times, but still a key player for us in midfield.

John Swift - 6 - Like Williams, the game did pass him by slightly, but Swifty still looks our brightest spark in midfield for most of the game. It was his strike that led to the first goal and came close in the second.

Garath McCleary - 7 - McCleary had the beating of Traore most of the afternoon and did very well for his goal. Also played a big part in Gunter's goal.

Roy Beerens - 6 - This mark may seem slightly kind, but it's not that he is playing poor, he is just anonymous in games at the moment. Roy looks capable of doing something when he gets the ball, but we don't get him in those situations enough - is that down to the team, or him?

Yann Kermorgant - 6 - Yann didn't see as much of the ball as he does in other games, but still played his part in winning headers in both areas of the pitch.

George Evans - 7 - It was the right call to bring Joey off and even better when Evans seemed to settle us down much more, looking really composed in the midfield when he came on.

Callum Harriot - 6 - Didn't really have enough time to make an impact, but a useful player to have off the bench.

Jordan Obita - N/A - Brought on to right wing in the dying minutes of the game.
