Player Ratings - Blackburn (H)

Player Ratings - Blackburn (H)
After a third win on the bounce on Tuesday night against Blackburn, we take a look at the players` performances from the game at the Madejski.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ali Al-Habsi - 7 - Ali didn`t really have an awful lot to do, bar an outstanding reflex save to deny Gallagher early in the second half at 2-0, which could have turned out to be crucial. Couldn`t do anything about the goal, and did get slightly lucky with a clearance which hit Emnes.

Chris Gunter - 7 - Gunter built on a fantastic performance against Leeds with another strong display in defence, where he was rarely troubled until Feeney came out onto the left side and starting cutting in.

Liam Moore - 8 - Man of the match - What a signing this guy has been, an absolute rock in defence, who despite his lack of height for a centre half, always dominates in the air. A natural leader and an outstanding defender, would not look out of place in the Premier League.

Reece Oxford - 7 - A very assured debut from the on-loan West Ham defender, who looks in great physical shape and offered some good distribution from the back, especially the killer pass that started the move for the second goal. On this showing, I trust him more than Blackett at centre half.

Tyler Blackett - 7 - After a few hit and miss performances at centre half, Blackett looked a lot better and settled at left-back. Defensively he was solid and he provided a superb cross for Yann for the opener.

Liam Kelly - 7 - The academy graduate had a very good first half, keeping busy like he did against Leeds with making himself a nuisance and winning second balls. He kept coming deep and kept the ball moving which could move Swifty up the pitch, he faded slightly in the second half though.

Jordan Mutch - 6 - This guy seems to be dividing opinion among fans, but I wasn`t overly impressed but I wasn`t overly disappointed. He won`t take the game by the scruff of the neck, but he will break play up off the ball. A useful rotation option to have, nothing more.

John Swift - 7 - Another good performance from Swift, it was good to see him get on the ball and try and dictate the game in their half. He is much more dangerous doing that rather than trying to start play deep. There were a few glimpses of superb bits of skill.

Adrian Popa - 6 - Plenty of energy from the Romanian, but not enough telling quality in the final third unfortunately. I can only really see him impacting a game by coming off the bench currently.

Yann Kermorgant - 8 - Where would we be without Yann recently? A fourth goal in three games, as Yann is finally starting to get the appreciation a long time ago. Superb work rate all round and two fantastic headers to kill the game. Jaap will probably want to rest him at some point, but he is indispensable at the moment.

Roy Beerens - 5 - Sorry Roy, but you`ve got to step your game up. For the second game running the Dutchman has been fairly anonymous, and doesn`t seem to have the same confidence he had at the start of the season to take a player on.

---------------------------------SUBSTITUTES---------------------------------

Garath McCleary - 6 - A strange cameo from GMac, who showed a mix of brilliance and calamity. A great goal to kill the game off, yet could have scored another two but fluffed his lines comically.

Danny Williams - 6 - Brought on to steady the ship and he put himself about to help us see the game out.

Tiago Ilori - 6 - Great to see the defender back in action after nearly three months out. He looked assured alongside Moore, which is probably going to be our first choice fairing for seasons to come.
